2021 Battery Recomendations Please

Post by Dreaddybear »

Hi All
Im a newbie and just wanted to ask the forums opinion when it comes to Battery recomendations (the battery that starts the vehicle, not the leisure batteries)
I did read a very old post concerning this but just checking for more recent advice incase anything has changed?
The Vehicle in question is a T25/T3 1982 1970cc air cooled High Top. The battery is positioned behind the Drivers seat
Currently theres an old Ford battery in there thats past its best so looking for a modern upgrade
I have been looking at type 065 ? I think thats the correct type? I found a Yuasa YBX5075 that seemed to fit the bill and have good reviews but obviously would like to hear everyones opinions and what they think works best for this type of vehicle
Look forward to hearing back off folks
Cheers  :D

I’ve two of these fitted, no problems at all.

Keep any eye on them as they are often part of the 15/20% off eBay deals.

Exide EA722 fits under the front seat, has plenty of CCA and it can handle some cyclic use so it may even be used as a leisure for small consumers.

Bit of a revival but…….

I was in need of a new battery for my daily driver, the above still working ok in van.
However google reveals some shocking reviews of above company so I’d probably avoid in all honesty.
Seems pot luck on quality and longevity
