Hi Tyhursty, I am in the same position! I need leisure and starter battery to fit under the seats, the ones that were in there when we bought the van were 190mm high and dangerously exposed to the metal seat bases! I have read various threads and know we need 175mm high for both. So I am jumping on your thread to see if anyone has suggestions where to get them :?:  :?:

I managed to shoehorn a Yuasa YBX5 110 battery under the driver seat of my 82 T25. It's rated at 85 Ah. Leisure battery size will depend on where you fit it. Sacrifice cupboard space and the skies the limit.

Hi Rosie n Jim, thanks! :) they’ve got those at Halfords…

If they fit lengthwise that sounds a good idea for the starter battery.

Now for the leisure battery, I can only find ABS batteries the right height, and I don’t know if they’re any good :?

and for the starter I bought a Bosch s4 for 70 ish quid on euro car parts

size is everything if going under seats, also make sure to cover terminals with insulating material to prevent shots to seat rails, battery box cover etc.

Ah, thank you JeffRoo. That’s a thumbs up for an ABS battery then. And we’ve got a Euro Car Parts over the road I can try for the starter battery :D
