Re: Rcd Fuse Box
More than likely it's a problem with the earthing or the hook-up lead. RCDs are generally super reliable. I had a similar problem with a friend's van very recently, and the cause was a non existent earth connection in the hook-up lead. You could try testing the earth in the lead for continuity with a test meter, or even a battery and bulb. Might be a lot cheaper than replacing the hardware.

Re: Rcd Fuse Box
Thinking about this again, I may not be correct in what I said. The test button may not rely on the earth connection in the lead. However, it's still worth checking the continuity of all earth connections, because if the test button does work without an earth connection, the lead would need to be checked in any case. If in any doubt, please get a competent person to give it a test. Electrics should be tested regularly to keep them safe.

Cheers done all the continuity test rewired the main plug that you connect the hookup lead to and still the same it's a brand new hookup lead as I have never used the mains since I have had the van

Re: Rcd Fuse Box
Hi, just a thought
I have been doing my hook up recently and IIRC I read/heard that the hook up line abroad is back to front.
If you recently bought the lead and got it from online, is it the correct wiring for your hook up ?
