hello,
my speakers are mounted in this location in the cab doors.
theyre mounted to the door cards with little clips, ands arent very secure. theres a helluva buzz from them from bass frequencies. the cones are fine, ie not ripped. should they be mounted behind the cards, to the actual door metal instead, maybe with rubber grommets? id guess that would reduce the vibration and firm them up. whats the standard install method? these are 6" speakers.

I had to cut out the door metal when mine were fitted in that location, a size up from yours though.

Mine are mounted there, however I think the clips go onto the metal of the door as well as the door card itself.
