Mine was an early 1983 cluster converted to later 1987 format.

As you can see,
It all works sweet.
Thanks AngeloEVS.

I had a minor play on illumination colours - wife likes ice blue.
And the orange glow-plug / Oxy light... changed to green for my GM cruise control tell-tale.

I must recommend AngeloEvs. Repaired my dash cluster for a fraction of the price of brickwerks and others.
Thanks Angelo! 👍🏽

There are plenty of vendors on Ebay, but do be aware that almost all "modern" LEDs are high brightness items,

but when the van was made, LEDs were nowhere near as bright, so you may wish to use a higher value resistor to dim the LED a little.

You are looking for a 5mm green diffused LED.
They are the ones that look green and opaque.
(I know that sounds obvious, but a lot of high brightness LEDs appear clear.)

Got some from fleabay, and the diffused ones as you mentioned fitted and all working.

Excellent.
A nice easy job.

As said though-
you may find the green much brighter than you are used to.
Especially driving at night.

If you do find it a bit too bright, then you would simply need to fit a resistor with a higher resistance value to bring down the brightness a little.

But - it is recommended that if the instruments are working, then best to leave them alone.

The foil circuit boards are quite old and brittle, so taking the cluster out too many times may cause the foil to fail.

Ahh yeah, I have since long time ago now binned the blue foil as it was failing, I opted for a Gowesty replacement board, and the original indicator bulb was knackered aswell. But now all back to normal. To be fair it doesn’t look that bright but then I suppose it might do in the dark. We shall see. Thanks for the tips though. Much appreciated.

It is all part of the service.
Glad to help.

If it is a GoWesty kit, then it may have come with newer brighter LEDs, so things should be okay.
