A duplicate post fro electrical.

Hi folks I went to start my van this morning  and it did start and run for a short period and then cut out and is refusing to start again .One thing I did notice was the Petrol / Gas switch lights that were initially on had now gone off and are refusing to come back on again, and I am guessing that there lies a clue as to what my problem maybe.

My Van is a 1986 with a 1.9 DG engine fitted with a OMVL variable mixture open loop LPG system.

I guess my problem could well be electrical but I would be really pleased if somebody on here could point me in the right direction please.

There should be a 5amp fuse in the power to the switchover switch , somewhere close to the switch .

the should also be , in the engine bay , on the petrol switchover solenoid a manual bypass lever or thumb wheel to switch it to petrol in the event of a electrical issue with the lpg system

Follow the red wire back from the control switch .
normally the inline fuse holder will be either tucked up the back of the loom out of the switch or just inside the steering column cowling

Thanks for the tips Steve followed the red wire to fuse only to find the fuse was ok however I did find that the live feed to the Fuse holder had come adrift so wallah for once a nice simple solution.

Thanks again really appreciated :ok
