I have currently stripped back the van to refit the interior and have access to everything so am going to insulate the ceiling and fit some lights.
I am looking at some led spot lights. LED spot lights with a remote control. question 1 has anyone got experience with these cheap sets are they any good? question 2 do i go for the 3000k warm lights or 6000k bright lights?

Thanks for your thoughts
Antony

1). They don't seem that cheap

2) Personal choice,  you can dim with remote control so I would go for the brighter ones.

Kelvin scale is not to do with brightness but is the colour temperature.

3000k is very similar to a traditional filament bulb, 6000k is much cooler/blue light.
For reference a daylight bulb tends to be around 4-4500k.
Blue end of the spectrum scatters more in the human eye and is the reason (especially as we age) that people find they notice more glare from oncoming HID headlights. Not helped as a lot of the aftermarket kits tend to be around 6000k. OEM typically are 4300-5000k.
Opposite to general thought a 6000k may appear brighter than a 4300k but for the same setup (ballast/headlight, etc) a 4300k will usually put more light out on the road.

If you want to compare brightness then look at the stated lumens - typically a traditional 60w light bulb will be around 800. But as most led/kits originate from china they are not always as stated.

Personally for lighting in a camper unless you are going ultra modern I would stick at the warmer end of the scale.

Thankyou for the replies this makes sense now. The camper is to be used by my family and parents and will not have an ultra modern look. So to avoid the comments of "that light is too bright it hurts my eyes" I think I will go with the 3000k  :ok
