Hi
Just after some advice regarding wiring please. At present I have no interior lights fitted so intending to fit a led light strip. If I wire via my cf8 zig unit, which has the lighting socket vacant, will the fuses in zig unit be adequate or will I need to fit an inline fuse. I will also need to fit a switch for the light, should this have inline fuse also.

The fuse in the Zig will be more than enough. An LED will probably be less than 1 amp whilst the fuse in the zig is probably 2 amp or more. Why would you need a separate switch, doesn't the zig have a light switch? I can't see why you would need an inline fuse if the zig fuse is correct.

A CF8 hasn't got a separate switch for lights. I've got LED strips wired off the loom where the old spot light was. They came with a remote control so the lights run off that.
