Can anyone identify this part ?

Post by pandp38 »

I have just replaced the headlights on campervan and found an electrical device I don't recognise.
It looks like some sort of resistor approx 80mm long x 15mm diameter.
It has 2 wires coming from it but are not connected to anything.
It is in the headlamp aperture on drivers side (RHD)

Its a resistor. Its,,,,,,,,,for the headlamps, its used to light up the dipped beam bulb but at low voltage when sidelights only are turned on, AKA dim-dip.
