Head light main beam/dip not working

Hi my name is Simon just bought my first bus, the only thing wrong is the main beam isn't working when I operate the control stem there is no click! dodgy control stem? ideas?

you do know its a "one movement one operation" switch dont you?
does it flash when headlights are off ???

sound like its is indeed the switch gear

Bottom of headlamp stalk, in the column under the steering wheel. Is the hook latched in properly?

Cheers for help I checked bulbs all good so by past switch all lights came on so I've ordered a new switch, I did clean it it feels loose so new one makes sense.
