Diode control panel & sink not working?

Post by FriedaT3 »

Hi everyone, I'm new on here & new to VW world. 2 days ago I purchased a VW westfalia T3 1989 & on first viewing the diode control panel & sink worked so I wasn't interested in checking before I bought her on the second viewing. It's doesn't seem to be working now, anyone any ideas whats wrong??

No westfalia manual then?
You can down load it from here.

Not in English, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

On closer inspection this morning a cable connected to the relay between the 2 batteries is burnt out, maybe this is the problem?

Also, the fuses for the fridge and sink are in a small black box down low to the right of the driver's seat in front of the sink unit!

Presuming you have checked the above ^^^^ the most common cause of this fault is cracked solder joints on the two panel toggle switches...easily remedied by removing the panel (two screws) and re-soldering the joints, takes about 10 minutes... all the late Westies I'm seen need this doing at some point.

Near the drivers seat belt reel..Red thicker fuse is for the Ebberspacher blow heater, white fuse for the kit-chen block.

Thanks everyone! I've only gone & done it.... It was the fuse box just underneath the seat belt reel... One of the fuses had popped out! Funny looking fuses. But all good, all lights up now & the sink works. Thanks again everyone

Sorry the one I saw is in English, but I see no fuse location in it.
Never mind
