Square headlight inners not bright

Post by baj25 »

Changed coolant yesterday and before putting upper grille back on I thought I'd have a look what bulbs are fitted to inners as they are rather dim. Think I might have found the problem, some twonk has fitted 24V bulbs! Oh well, off to local accessory place for some 12V lamps. Surprised it wasn't picked up on MOT, they were positively yellow compared to the others. Bri

Did that replacing a nav light bulb on a boat - somehow a 24v bulb had crept in with the 12v ones. Spent ages wondering why it wasn't very bright.

Its fantastic when a problem turns out to be as easily fixed as this... :ok

You might want to check the rear side light bulbs as well, these often have very dull 5 watt bulbs fitted instead of the much brighter 10 watt ones.
