Re: Window Tinting
Was a relatively easy job , even doing the rear window . You just have to make sure the glass is very very clean and follow the instructions, I got a link to a you tube clip when I bought mine .

Re: Window Tinting
Personal presence but keep it legal. If you go too dark, you may be in danger of your van looking, well; like a van. 20% will do. Some good comparison vids on YouTube.

Re: Window Tinting
I know this was years ago but is this "Limo" 5% tint?themagician wrote: ↑04 Jun 2015, 10:57 Here's two photos (not the best as parked on the drive). It's sunny here today. The cab windows aren't tinted at all just original factory glass. They're a bit dirty as done over 1000 miles recently to cornwall and back and not washed it yet! The tint is fine looking out, it just makes looking in harder!
many thanks

Re: Window Tinting
Windows don’t need to come out - I had part of my rear window done in complete black to cover the storage area for my spare parts & tools as it looked a bit untidy.
Cost is pretty reasonable as well:

Re: Window Tinting
Is that opaque film on the outside ? I need to redo the current opaque film on the outside of the wardrobe section. Never looked into it before though really. As you say, lists of lists, in-between life...300CE wrote:Windows don’t need to come out - I had part of my rear window done in complete black to cover the storage area for my spare parts & tools as it looked a bit untidy.

Re: Window Tinting
I’m not exactly sure what this one was called but wanted one that no one could see through. Cost was £20 to supply and fit by a local tinting company.

Re: Window Tinting
Did mine myself with kit bought on ebay, bit of a faff separating the film, removing air bubbles etc, especially the rear window, not so good as getting it done professionally, I think the kit cost about a tenner.
