The only DVD I know of is the one mentioned in the wiki. I bought it when we painted our van (actually I think I downloaded it from Ralph)

Do you have to flatten down or get a key between each coat? Or can you paint direct on top?

I flatten between coats to ensure a better finish.

Thanks for all the advice on in this tread, I have read them all. I have just finished painting my van in Ruby Red with a white top. I am very pleased with the result. 100 times better than the old, faded and scratched paintwork she had before, and all for less than £100. I started with the roof thinking that if I make a bad job no one will know. The first coat was terrible but by the time I started on the body I was confident and just went for it. Whilst she was standing in my drive a Wren built a nest under the front wheel arch. I now have to wait until the young leave the nest before I can show her off.

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller! - fading Rustoleum

Rustoleum is such a mimic for the original paint!
Avenue supplied my paint mixed to match the VW paint code.
It was certainly on the cream side of the faded exterior , but a great match to the colour in the shuts etc.
fast forward , some 5 years (possible more) and time for more extensive work. That Rustoleum mix has now faded probably to same extent as the original paint (though of course none of that exposed paint remains ).
With the front panels re done, it's sort of comforting to be driving again with different shades of panels. :rofl

I used a good quality paint brush tonight on the white part of my two tone van and I actually think it has given a better finish than with the roller. Very odd!

I'm sure this has been asked before, so apologies for asking it again if so. Has anyone had their van professionally resprayed, some time after painting it with combicolor? Did the combicolor cause any issues/extra expense? Cheers
