Rustylee R&R bed.

Post by triggermala »

I am debating whether or not to attempt to fit my rustylee full width r&r bed or get it done in a garage. Is it best or essential to park the van on as level ground as possible before trying to fit it. My van is parked on a slight downhill and also tilts towards the near side curb. I've watched the CVC video and it doesn't look to difficult. Any tips would be much appreciated.

I cant offer much advice. But nothing is truly level....even on level ground. :D Suspension sag and weight from one person moving about may cause mismatched readings too.
If your van is driveable take it to a level carpark. Sort out the fixings with a marker and small blocks of wood or mark out pilot holes with a cordless drill . Then go back to your driveway and start proper drilling.
Just a thought.

I woulda thought that as you are fitting something into the van it should just rest against the floor? so you could just butt it up to the rear where the floor raises, level it horizontally and go from there.
Although I don't know anyhting those beds other than the name so they could be different to most.
