van mirrors
Hi all, hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to going out on the road again. General question, the standard mirrors do not keep in place on my van (Holdsworth 1.9 petrol 1984) after many tightening up sessions. Have read somewhere that VW corrido mirrors are a good alternative, has anyone got experience of fitting/ using these and where could they be obtained, and If they are a straightforward replacement. Many Thanks and best wishes to all.

Re: van mirrors
The corrardo mirrors are too small to be any use one of these vans imho
far better to go for "truck" mirrors as fitted to the syncro . A bit more expensive but fit and forget .
no messing and don’t suffer from auto fold .
arther depends if you want to be able to actually see anything when parking and reversing I suppose

Re: van mirrors
Just dissemble the mirror and smear some grinding paste around the ball and socket.

As above, and remember to give your shaft a good rubbing with emery cloth before reassembling.

Re: van mirrors
I have had Corrado mirrors on my bus for the last 12 years. I have no trouble parking or reversing. If mirrors are set right they are fine.
Just my experience though. Others may disagree.
Fitment was pretty straightforward.

Re: van mirrors
I have the standard fit mirrors, not ideal and do get bumped out of place when I pass them sometimes, to aid visibility I use a couple of blind spot mirrors stuck to each one they take a bit of getting used to and sometimes fall off if not glued on in addition to the sticky backs they come with.

Re: van mirrors
Hi guys, many thanks for the replies and pics showing fitment to van etc. Much appreciated, I hope to get out a bit later, and knew there were problems with the mirrors folding back on me, so was not too satisfactory. Will have a try at resolving issues. Many Thanks to all replies and regards to all on here.
