Are you talking about the fixed window rubbers or the driver's and passenger side sliding windows.  The reason I ask if it is the side drivers and passenger windows I adapted them from a piece of cable.

I had some left over cable from an old water feature, so it was rubberised and water resistant.  Split it by cutting a length, then pulling the inner wire out spilt the cable in half along its length tidily. Used some adhesive and then stuck this to the outer rim of the window guide  along the top and down one side to where it joins the piece that fits alongside the bottom of the window and partially up one side, squeezed it in place and its been there for several years now.  The windows felt a bit tight initially when sliding up and down but it does the job.

Ironically, I have just this afternoon fitted a sliding door and rear side window in my van. They are not factory fit. I got the seals from Phoenix Seals. They were very quick but I have also used Seals Direct in the past and they are equally as good. It was a total bugger of a job!!

I did rears and high top windows last year. Seals from Sealsdirect. A fairly straightforward task l thought. You did use the proper beading tool?
Nice collection of stickers. Especially Le Mans and Busfest. Our paths must have crossed.

Ha ha! Thanks! I just got back from Bristol Volksfest although this year I was camping in a tent.... and yes it was wet and very muddy!! Yes I did use the proper beading tool. It would be almost impossible without it I think. And a lot of soapy water too. The rear window with the stickers was tricky as the rubbers are really wobbly even when the window is in, until the bead is fitted. I sat the bottom in and worked up the edges and as I got to the top, the bottom kept popping out and I had to start again. Lots of coffee was drunk and eventually I got to a method that worked. The sliding door window was a breeze by comparison. I think it might have been because the rear edge of the rear window has a slope on it and the window isn't rectangular?

I think I had bother with mine as the radius of the bottom angled corner was very different on the panel and on the glass, leaving a big gap. Plenty of sealant squidged in solved it badly.
