I have quite a badly rusting gutter on my 85 Westfalia Hitop, which I have posted about before. So much going on in life, getting this into a bodyshop to fix is going to take some time. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do in the meantime?
Should I remove the rusty metal, flakes of rust etc, and sand it down? Or am I better leaving it alone till I find someone to fix it up?

Re: Rust advice sought
That’s gonna be a big expensive job, you could pull the main rot off but it won’t make it much better
Re: Rust advice sought
I had rusty gutters. I don't mean to frighten you but I had mine repaired...... I took the high top off myself and also completely stripped the interior. The rust will almost definitely have gone up underneath the high top so it is the only way to repair it properly. My van was vary sound apart from the gutters so I decided it was worth doing but count on £3k to fix and a lot more if you cannot strip it yourself!!
