Moving Drivers Seat

Hi guys,
I need to replace my starter battery as it's completely done for however I can't for the life of me get the drivers seat to move forward to take it out. I've managed (with the help of two others) move it back perhaps half an inch but apart from that no luck.
Any ideas or tips to help me with this?
Cheers,
James

There's a little latch on the outside of the seat, almost where the hinge is.  Whilst keeping the seat-latch pulled, lift this little latch as well and the seat will come off.

Thanks for the reply,
Unfortunately I can't even get the seat to move forward at all so I can't get the seat to move past the rail to remove.
Any advice on how to free it up?

Spray silicon lubricant along the runners from each end and apply a rubber mallet vigorously to the base of the seat at each side from the front whilst holding the "backyforwards" lever up

Watching this with interest, I could move my seat forward and back to give me enough room to change main battery, but wanted to remove it completely in order to fit an alarm system under it, no joy as it appears to be impossible to remove it from the runners.

Tony , there is a little triangle catch on the side of the seat that you need to lift to get it to slide off the front of the runners .
if you don’t have furniture behind, you can prise up the stops on the runners and slide it off the back .

This lever-up and the usual forward / backward lever-up AND pull the seat forward off the rails. Face the backrest and lean over with your right arm.

Let the silicon lube soak in a while ..... there are often plastic anti rattle shims in the runners , when you get the seat out , bin them, makes life much easier ...

Pictures speak a thousand words, etc...  Thanks Mocki & DoubleOSeven for posting.  My seats were firmly gunked up with mud and stuff that shouldn't be there.  Also, the bar that sits across the seat underneath was bent out of shape so I had to hold it up with one hand whilst shunting it forwards (after applying ample amounts of seat lube).
