How thick are the body panels on our vans?

I've just acquired a syncro project which has plenty of scope for practising my metalwork skills!

One option I'm giving serious consideration is to use a flaring tool(joggler/joddler?) to help with patches. Does anybody know how thick the metal is? I'm guessing either 1mm or 1.2mm.

Just looking at which tool to go for (manual/air operated).

Any tips from folk who have tried this method would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Al

There's this post in a previous thread from plasticman.

Body tinware 1mm - 1.2mm not much difference to work with but the 1.2mm is better to weld and work with gives good support when butt welding / letting in.
1.5mm for steps, lip and edge repairs, inner arch repairs (around seat belt anchorages) inside of B posts down to jacking point.
2mm reinforcement for belt anchorages, out rigger repairs, to vertical support above rear arm mount (need lower rear wing/arch off to get to this so you should know what you're doing lol.)
2,5mm - 3mm replacing top of deformation panel (which lower front panel mounts to) and main chassis repairs
