Rust in Time

Post by TONYT25T25 »

Always on the look out for rust, and spotted this area Just in Time.  Noticed a bit of debris underneath the plastic covering near the off side/drivers seat belt fixing point, inside the van over the wheel arch nearest the door.  Pulled back the plastic cover and thought the worse, however after a good clean with a wire brush it proved only to be surface rust and the seam had not been damaged,  cleaned the whole area and treated with kurust, not to near the anchor point and ok underneath the wheel arch, water must have seeped in over time and just settled under the plastic covering.  Did the same on the other side just as a cautionary measure.
