Just rebuilt the glove box lock so it is fully operational on a key.

In readiness for the campers lock overhaul, looking at my stash of wafers etc,  I am short on a few wafers.

Has anybody got the part number or link to the repair kit? It's not the only vehicle that needs doing so a readifull supply would be handy.

Hi Sharon,  google suggests the kit part number is 443898041A, but check yourself as I think there's at least a couple of different size cylinders that use similar tumblers.

I saw some on ebay.co.uk, but they seem a bit pricey, and in the pic the tumblers all look the same insted of varying. (I think there are four different ones, numbered 1-4):

Hope you are good and the neighbours hens are faring well.

My key and the only one is near on knackered so it is time to rebuild the locks, I'll have at your links and again thank you for taking the time.

Seem to be our part numbers, 4 tumbler plates and a combination of 7 of any of the 4.

TPS will be getting a call in the am

Hi Sharon, if you can get the 4-digit key code stamped on one or other of the vehicles lock cylinders, in theory a properly equipped VW franchise should be able to cut a minty fresh 100% correct key. How many are still around with the correct gear and knowledge is another question..

Yep , Andy shall get a decent key first of all, but...

as I thought, NLA, according to TPS from 2013, so must of been old stock on the shelves...

The sting in the tail is £13.58 + per single tumbler blade.

I've just been reading your thread.
Email me if you want wafers or springs, mine is the EBay advert in the link above.  I'm more than willing to help out anyone in the T25 world as I'm an owner myself.  The price above accounts for Ebay and Paypal fees and postage so overall for a set of new parts including my support and instructions by PDF I probably make a couple of quid per order.  That buys me a beer while I'm packing the order.

just a heads up the tumbler kits (all 4 wafers and springs about 16 locks worth) are available again from VW Clasicparts, price has gone up a bit mind

How many wafers and tumblers in a set, any idea?

I think its 30 of each wafer and 120 springs 443 898 041 A
