Dinitrol 4941 vs 4942 ?

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's used both of the abovementioned products, regarding differences in their properties.

Is 4942 simply a brown version of 4941, or are there other noticable differences in terms of application, protection provided, durability etc ?

The manufacturers data suggests they are really very similar, but is not clear what significant differences exist.

TIA

Hi Andy,

Not used the Dinitrol, but use Dynax S50 - a very good product which i consistently use and worth having a look at:

Hi, thanks for reply, however Dynax S50 is a cavity wax, wheras the Dinitrol 4941/4942 are underbody waxes. I'm currently using Tectyl 506 for cavities and also external areas not subject to abrasion.

I've used the 4941 for a long time, but was interested in the 4942, because its brown colour is nearer to the original wax VW used on the wheel arches, sills etc.

Work in progess, the area above the tank finished with Tectyl 506 after baremetal, welding and two heavy brushcoats of Combicolor:

No worries Andy, I’m sure someone with the knowledge will be along shortly.

Nice work by the way, will be factory fresh when you’ve finished :ok
