Morning all,
I have just bought an 86 Leisuredrive Hitop. Now running(sort of) a 1y Polo engine. This is my second brick, so I’m under no illusions about what’s ahead. I’m up half the night reading the fantastic posts on here to get me going.

Ready for her 500 miles to Newquay.

I’ve stripped the interior to prepare for some serious welding action. I’ve done Mig course at the local college but don’t expect it to go easily. And as expected I’ve found grief already. Crusty around the swing arm bracket/ jacking point.

Poorly repaired side panel and very crusty floor edge.

Expect loads of stupid questions, and anyone who has done similar areas feel free to chip in/guide/ or take the Mick 😂😂

Welcome back to the brick club. Good luck with the crust. I read your ‘interests’, we have a lot in common! :). I frequent Newquay for the fireworks in Nov most years.

Have a look at 'My T25 Restoration' in the restoration threads as I have done those areas you mention.

No attempt to get the panels back to the column, I’m just going to take the whole lot off and start from scratch.
