Landrover Discovery Brackets and Door Mirrors

Post by keynsham1 »

I see someone on eBay is selling brackets to allow fitment of Land Rover Discovery door mirrors to a T25. Does anyone have any experience of these? My original mirrors cracked and the aftermarket ones I bought were money down the drain!!

A guy on this forum makes them so should be all good. Think its Rowlesy.

I made my own brackets out of 3mm plate and mig welder if you're handy. Land rover mirrors are much better!

Yep, had the floppy vw ones went with the defender bracket/mirrors and have been no trouble. Solid and give a good viewing angle.

Put a rubber mat under the shim so it’s not metal against metal.

Will do! My mirrors arrived today. They are so much better than aftermarket T25 ones!

I did that otherwise it would likely rub and rattle too.

Got mine and need to paint them. Any tips on the best stuff to use? Tried hammerite on a tow bar recently and it was cack!

Use spray primer and then black paint from rattle can

Cheers. Primed the tow bar and used hammerite from a rattle can but has just chipped off. Didn't key the primer which I think may have been a schoolboy error!
