Replacing the sliding door seal

Post by pleasestartnow »

Hi all,

Might be a silly question but do i have to remove the sliding door to install a new door seal?. I replaced it two years ago but i just cut it in one part and then glued the seal in place but i think it was the wrong size seal as it never fit properly. Im afraid to remove the door in case it leads to issues putting it back on due to unseen rust somewhere.

Thanks

If you sliding door fit's well at present l would cut and glue together again. Cut out of eye view. Top right or lower corner on RHD vehicle

Thanks for the response, the door is slightly pushed out and dropped a fraction due to the existing seal so will do as you say and try and adjust door back as well.

Appreciate the help.
