Hi has anybody got a autosleeper with the original stripes on, if yeh, could you please measure the width.from either side of gold pin stripe ,ie the maximum width inc the pin stripes. Many thanks adam

From the top to the centre white stripe. Brown 6mm, 4mm Gold, 4mm Brown, 4mm Gold, 57mmBrown and 7mm white.

I don't agree with that, or maybe there is slight variation with age. The stripes are either one eighth inch or one quarter inch not metric. Also no brown above the top gold stripe. I can send you an old close up photo of the stripe from a 1986 if you give me an email address by pm.

Ok I can see your photo now, that is not the same as others I can see in Google Images. I did visit the factory about 15 years back. At the time you could still buy the edge stripe which consisted of gold/brown/gold three eighths of an inch wide in total and it was the gold that was at the edge. They did say there was some variation though, for example the outer gold strip could be a quarter of an inch rather than an eighth.

A while back i gave the info to someone (Jim Painter? ) who was restoring a van and he painted the stripes on, it looked brilliant.

Yep only the gold pin stripes are decals
The rest is paint.
