series 1 landrover
Anyone own a series one landy,I'm restoring one for my boss,I'm rebuilding chassis at moment but there's not much of it left, and most of the brackets have rotted away.Does anyone local to Birmingham own one that I could possibly take a few measurements long shot I know.Must be between 1949-53.

Land Rover are buying back Series 1 vehicles and restoring them, eventually selling them as factory fresh. Seen it on a newspaper over here. They have actually started re manufacturing parts in support of this.

if it's that bad, wouldn't it be easier to buy a new galv chassis?

It is that bad, from what I believe they don't make them anymore .The only parts they make are back end ,front irons and outriggers but not chassis.
