Hi,
I have a syncro doka and the round hole on the right side (looking from the rear) is where my engine's air intake is connected to. Have a wbx engine with air filter, cyclone filter and from there, there is a flexible hose to the round hole. There is a connection from there to the C-pillars where the air is sucked in.
The elongated hole on the left has no connection to the c-pillars
Cheers, André

Sorry ssdt,
Not suggesting anything, I just tried to explain what the round hole is good for. I have no idea what the elongated one is supposed to do or if it's ok to close it.
Cheers, André
