Autohomes Kamper Kitchen Window Closure / Lock

Post by stupot73 »

Hello peeps, happy summer!

Just wondering if anybody knows where I can get a new plastic closure / lock for this window, or in the absence of that any advice on what to replace it with.

I went to open the window today and the movable part of the plastic closer snapped off.

I can still open and close the window but I can't lock it.

I could remove what is left and fashion something else but thought I would ask first.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but it does explain what the mystery bit of plastic I found in the van today was. I will investigate further tomorrow and update if I make any conclusions.

cheers

Ahh, well found.

The fact that the window closes and does not lock does not bother me too much as it is not that obvious from the outside, but if it becomes an issue I might replace it with a slim wooden bar and a decent looking wire hasp or something. Not in a Mr Bean padlock on the outside kind of way you understand. :-)
