front seat options - what height?

Post by Gavla80 »

Hi all - my front seats are looking very tatty and I'd like to replace them. I have swivel bases fitted to both the driver and passenger sides. So here's the thing - with a 34" inside leg I can just about fit comfortably under the steering wheel to drive at present... I've had a good look around on here and the wiki and have seen references to Saab seats and Porsche seats but can't seem to find the answer to my question - please help!

What alternative seats can I relatively easily (i.e. no welding) fix to the swivel bases that won't add more than a couple of cm to the overall height? (or maybe even lower the seat a little bit?). And what is involved in fitting them?

Thanks in advance!

In my old bay I fitted mk2 MR2 seats and they were ace!

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't fancy lowering the seat box tbh. Hadn't thought about a smaller wheel though. What fits/looks good?

Would MR2 seats fit easily in the T25? I used to have a mk3 MR2 with leather seats, they were so comfy - don't think they'd be quite the same in a van though!
