I've had two accelerator pedals snap at the hinge within a relatively short space of time. Is there a better quality replacement than the standard plastic one from the usual outlets?
There's a nice billet one available one for Beetles but I can't find something similar for a T25:

Anybody have any suggestions please?

Just rivet a metal hinge to it. It will last longer than a new pedal. Otherwise buy from Brickwerks.

What engine model is it? Do l recall correctly DJ 2.1 manual?
Does your camper suffer from an unusually heavy accelerator pedal to depress? Mine used to be very heavy. It was a combination of a corroded linkage beneathe the pedal and a very worn cable. First bit cleaned and lubricated. Second bit replaced.

Re: Quality Accelerator Pedal?
The genuine vw plastic pedal is a quality part and lasts a very long time, the aftermarket replacements are poor in comparison. i have several new genuine vw pedals for sale £10 each.

It was a 1.9 but now upgraded to a 2.1DJ. Accelerator is not heavy at all.

Re: Quality Accelerator Pedal?
I have actually already ordered one from Brickwerks as I needed a fast solution, but I'm tempted to take one of your vw ones off your hands too as a spare, how much is it including postage to TN34 please. Best way to pay you?

Re: Quality Accelerator Pedal?
Would be £15 inc post but as the ones from Brickwerks are vw quality reproductions there wouldnt be a need for a spare really. But i have the original vw nos parts here if you do. Pay pal is best.

Re: Quality Accelerator Pedal?
Thank you very much for the info . If the Brickwerks one is VW quality then no real need for a spare I guess, but thanks for the offer. I must have unwittingly bought sub standard repros previously.
