Hi, thanks to wiki archives I immediately found the loosened drive shaft bolts on my bus, after a nearside knocking . Has anyone used spring washers or similar to stop this reoccurring? Thread lock?
Thanks. T25 1.9 ‘86

I vaguely recall a useful post by another member warning NOT to grease the threads when reassembling the cv joints to either end as this results in them coming undone.

You need serrated washers and the correct torque on the clean bolts to be sure of them staying put.

Schnorr washers are the name for the serrated washers used as stock. They are one use and should be replaced. Easily found online and not costly.

Thanks everyone. Are these the washers that look like jet turbines? Multi cut, over lapping washers? Cheers.

Yep, Brickwerks have them.
