Keep us updated, probably something they've just not setup correctly, maybe the connection between the front and rear shift rods. :ok

So had to call out rac and the kind fella that came out said he used to work on t25s all the time and was an ex vw dealer mechanic.

Told me to put it in reverse while he re set the linkage, and that that's how they did it at vw. unfortunately the outcome was I then lost all gears

Got it towed back to garage who has said it looks like loose shifter ball on the box and hopefully when replacement arrives and is all re set all will be good.

Will give a final update when it's back up and running

Just incase anyone has the same issue in the future it was the shifter ball on gearbox (onion?).

Once replaced the garage said the linkage just needed re setting as rac had rotated it and removed a shim they had fitted to make finding 3rd easier.
