Gearbox oil suction gun
Anyone used a suction gun/pump to remove gearbox oil. My drain plug is totally obstructed by my exhaust & it's impossible to get it out without dismantling the whole exhaust system.

Re: Gearbox oil suction gun
I bought one on ebay for removing the gearbox oil from my MK1 Focus as there is no drain plug. Came with a selection of tubes and the pump, I suspect depending on viscosity and supplied pipe length its effectiveness would differ from vehicle to vehicle. Will add an image if i can find it on line.

Re: Gearbox oil suction gun
Thanks Tony
Went for this in the end. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09 ... UTF8&psc=1
Ideally I'd like to get the plug out so I can check the magnet but I don't really have any issues so it should be fine. I do have the common fault on the 5 speeds of a slight baulking on the very first shift from 1st to 2nd. After that it's fine.
