Snapped DJ head studs.

Post by spanishfly »

My efforts to rebuild or have rebuilt my 2.1 DJ are going from bad to worse. Well meaning engineering apprentice snapped drilled and mullered one hole. Another engineer friend is going back to Poland for summer holidays. I had a feeling 2.1’s were rebuilt there, anyone have any leads on case repair specialists in Poland please? Or leads on a good original cas or case repairer.....? Thanks.

Didn't see this post. Oh dear, yeah I had a similar case bodge when a local machine shop did mine.... hopefully it will be OK.

As for case repair, no clue I'm afraid. Might be easier to lookout for another case, but then I suppose you might run the risk of having to get different bearings if it had been bored.
