Hi all. I have a 1989 Autohomes komet mk2 hightop T25 (2.1 DJ 5-speed manual). As i understand it, it's still on original springs (and original 14" steels), and will be the original weight (1752kg) therefore it should still have the original stated load capacity of 638kg. I would like to drop the height a bit for stability in corners/winds, and perhaps for the look too, but only by the factory (caravelle carat?) -30mm. But i have a family of 4 and am aware that i carry quite a bit of additional weight around when going away. Can anyone confirm whether original spec lowering springs have the same load capacity as standard springs? I do not want to sacrifice practicality, if lowering it means i can no longer carry as much load, as that's kind of the point of the van...
Thanks in advance!
Tom

Gross weights were the same, Caravelles could carry a lot of humans and their stuff, they weren't de-rated if fitted with -30mm springs
