My aucward little shifter

Post by sump »

Well I thought I'd just share this as you just never know it might help someone else as well!

I have been having trouble with shifting gear for ever, so I bought all the bits to refurb the linkage. Duly fitted all as the book and after studying the wiki thingy :rofl  Still almost impossible to change gear without brute force.

So today I thought one last try before either taking it to a garage or passing it on only joking I think!

Went through every step again and it did seem very slightly better so the last part of the advice was" play with the plate inside the cab" so I did and guess what it got worse again!!!

So quite bemused I was just about to give up when I remembered that the gear stick part that I replaced had already obviously  been renewed after that thought I thought bugger this I wonder what would happen if I removed the plate and turned it round so I did and it is so so so much better I won't say it is perfect but it so much better I just had to share the news.
