Waterboxer bellhousing on a beetle engine?

Post by bigbadbob76 »

Hi you lot. been a while I know but I've not been doing much to the van, it's just running fine.
Asking for a friend who's building something mad and crazy...
Will a petrol wbx bellhousing fit straight on an airccooled beetle engine? and will the starter line up ok?
cheers. BBB.

Cheers mate. We'll give it a go. if we have to change the flywheel and clutch that's not a problem. bolt pattern and starter motor are the main worries. input shaft will be modified anyway. :D

You need the starter that matches the bell housing , otherwise it bolts straight on
