Dizzy vacuum pipes

Post by chriscburgess »

Hi, i am having problems with the ignition. Starts well runs for 15 mins or so. Relatively new dizzy cap and rotor arm. Just replaced all HT leads.

i was thinking of replacing the vacuum pipe on the dizzy as a next step.

My questions are:

is there just one pipe i should be replacing? If more than one where do they go to?

and secondly. Does anyone have a part number for the correct parts please?

1984 1.9dg with LPG conversion

Thanks

Originally the DG had one vac pipe from the rear of the carb to the dissy , and one from the second port one the back of the carb to the dissy to the air filter box , and one from the air filter box second port to the intake switch over valve in the duct from the intake up the turret .

However on most LPG conversions the second port on the rear of the carb is blanked off and only the pipe from the first port to the dissy is kept .

The vac pipe is available from brickwerks

https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/polyamide- ... tural.html

You need 4mm id rubber pipe for the ends to connect onto the dissy and the carb , also available from brickwerks
