JP Group driveshaft joints

Post by Ads1987 »

Hi Guys,

Van has developed a knocking noise from rear passenger side when turning left, had a wobble of the driveshaft and they all sound bone dry and the wheel end at passenger side rear knocks a little. So i think i need to replace one and probably re-grease the other 3.

Brickwerks sell a JP group one - https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-parts/d ... ative.html

Just wondering if anyone had used these as they aren't OEM and wondered if it's worth saving the money or just buy the OEM version?

Cheers,

Adam.

If it's good enough for B/W it's good enough for me.

Honestly , regreasing may well be all you need to do , there is never enough grease with these when they are supplied and it dries up and goes all claggy , not lubricating at all . Well worth taking them off and cleaning all the old crap out and regreasing

Also , buy the best quality ones , the "alternative " line is not always financially sensible in the long run .

OK thanks, I might just chance regreasing first, just assumed the one that was knocking has probably worn because it's dry and simply regreasing wouldn't solve the issue but they don't look that hard to remove so worth a go first :)
