Handbrake cable bar fix

I am pretty sure this has been done before by some of you Old School Brick owners but thought i would put it in here for those that haven't.  So my threaded section of my handbrake bar broke when i was changing the rear handbrake cables the other day.
Image
to fix this you need the following, Female M6 connector bar, M6 threaded bar, some locking off nuts, and thread lock.
Image
For me it snapped right where the threads ended, so i got my M6x1.0 die set out and recut a new thread at the end of the broken bar as you can see.
Image
you can then attach the new threaded bar with female connector back on to the broken end of the handbrake solid bar as you can see below.

You can now refit the balance bar and nut in order to bring the handbrake cables back up to tension to set the handbrake to hold you van when parked up.  This is also a great fix as to renew the front section of the handbrake, i am told that the tank needs to be dropped and at this stage i wasn't on planning doing this. Maybe when i have to drop the tank i will renew completely but for now all is good again.

Hope this helps others out and apologies if this has been covered before.  :ok
