Accelerator Cable Replacement

Would I be correct in assuming that the throttle cable and sleeve sits inside a larger piece of conduit from the pedal to the rear cross member where it meets the conduit which comes with the new cable?

If so how likely is the sleeve going to need replacing?

I haven't removed the old cable yet, is it best to remove the old and feed the new or better to attach the 2 cables and pull through?

RHD JX by the way.

The cable just runs in a nylon tube from the pedal to the flexible sleeve above the gearbox. The nylon sleeve needs changing if the cable has worn a groove in the nylon causing it to stick. This one had worn through the nylon. Image

Brill, will have another check of the pipe prior to feeding in the new cable. I've not felt it being sticky and was pretty responsive...right up until I eased off down a hill and reapplied the power going up the other side. Pedal to the floor and the van eased to a stop :/
