Thanks
404 on wiring diag though

As I say I will start to bell out every junction When I can get hold of a multimeter
Have new switches coming anyways
probably worth having in spares box
While potentially not a fatal error it might turn into a long winded one

Try again..... double dipped on the url originally

Wiring stuff can be long winded, but a cheap fix in the end when time is free

Score you get all excited in the wiring diagram , have you earthed the yellow wire out at the 7 pin round plug in the black box ? It not very often the fault is further forward than the engine bay , unless nastiness has happened at the dash circuit ....

I would be tempted to just knock a new cable up to ge from the oil pressure sender to the 7 pin in the black box so you know you have good wire , replacing the brown then yellow and that white double spade junction .
(assuming you have some suitable wire and a couple of crimp connectors laying about )

Yeah that’s is pretty much what I will do I think
Do the cylindrical connectors Just pull apart Or twist and pull?
I guess there is a Ferrell or some such that I will need to connect to inside

Ok
Spliced
Past the white spade connector and looks to have hopefully solved the issue
Will run it for a few days and then do a more permanent heat shield/shrink job on it
thanks for everyone’s input

Does anyone know if the white connector block is just a straight through connector or is there some sort of cross over connection involved? I wondered if I could just cut it out, reconnect with new spades/bullets and then heat shrink it all to freshen up the joints.....I have replaced both of the wires to it from the switches but before I replace the other side want to see if I can easily change out that block (or can I get a new one somewhere?)

Cheers in advance
