Reverse gear?

Post by AngeloEvs »

I can select all gears and disengage smoothly except reverse which seems a little tight to get back into neutral.   No problem selecting reverse but needs a gentle tap to go back into neutral.   Is this more likely to be a linkage issue.   The van has done very few miles this year.

Hi,
I would suggest getting under and seeing how easily it comes out of reverse actually on the gearbox , that should tell you if it’s the linkages ....
when mine acted like this is was infact the cup on the end of the linkage shaft that was worn and holding the onion at a odd angle
