Injection pump

Post by Lio »

Hello
I have a 1.6 TD JX and a bit confused about the Bosch  injection pump...
The part number on it is 068130107L and I read on some site that it should be 068130107TX. Anybody knows the difference ?
Thanks, Lionel

Does this help.https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/injection- ... ngine.html
I think the 068130107L could be off a golf.

A while back, I was looking at Bosch injection pump techical data via their online Tecdoc catalog (or equivalent). I was intererested in the camplate profiles in various TDI pumps.

If your googlefu is good enough, you may still be able to access this data, which should reveal the precise technical differences between the two pumps you mention. If they are still readable, you may find it useful to use the Bosch partnumber printed on the pump, instead of the VW part number.

FWIW, ETKA shows 068130107T as the JX injection pump. 'X' appended, indicates its an 'exchange-only' part. 068130107L, might simply be an earlier revsion, that was superceded to the T revision. The difference *may* be of no consequence, or it may be.. You 'll have to dig deeper..

PS. The big difference in Bosch mechanical diesel pumps, is whether they are for a turbo engine, in which case they have an LDA, or for a normally-aspirated engine, in which case they do not. The difference is visually very apparent..

The Bosch nr is the more important.
Tomorrow I can fire up my ESItronic to find the JX pump Bosch nr.

Haha, another mug who's spent too long composing a reply..

As I said, the Bosch number is more useful..

PS. I've seen ZsZ's sig, he's clearly got more knowledge of Bosch mech. diesel's than I have.

the Bosch part number suggests it is a 1.6 N/A diesel pump, does it have the LDA on it ?, does it look like the one Rob posted the link to on Brickwerks ?

I just spend too much time in front of my computer searching through VW stuff. My knowledge often lacks real world experience.
Being a non-native English speaker sometimes lead to bypassing some previous posts while focusing to OP questions. Sorry.

to OP:
the JX pump BOSCH nr. is 0 460 494 152. VW nr is 068130107T and 068130107TX (rebuilt exchange) as Syncroandy and Aidan already said.
As I can see from partnrs the guts of the JX one are specific to that pump.
The 068 130 107 L transfers to 0 460 494 028 which is a Passat 1.5D pump.
