Choke Mechanism Details Please, after brazing repairs!

Post by reessi »

Please can you check these pics please and answer any of the Questions you may know, I have referenced each question so please say which one your answering. They have been brazed to repair them, some were already like that, some I did because the pieces were loose and badly bent.

As both sides were in a mess I have no reference to how they should be, and they are both currently different!!

Many thanks.

The left carb has had a whole stem brazed on (by a previous repairer), so I'm not sure it is in the right place, I think I might have to bend it to correct position...

Hi, I've had a trip to the cellar and tried to take some pictures that may help you. Shows right hand carb and left hand carb with choke open and closed, or closed and open!!!

I think you sent me that one picture 3 times there! Anyway the important one I think is the one that is closed as it shows where it is on the Stepped cam, Many thanks for the Effort, I've been searching high and low online, I only found one other picture and somebody had altered it to below that top step because he said his fast idle was too fast but he didn't know where it was originally. Can you confirm that the other carb has that position also when closed, I think it must do, it must be the missing picture! Many thanks...
