Water Pipe from thermostat to engine

Post by TONYT25T25 »

Bought this from a supplier several years ago with the intention of replacing the existing one. Never got round to it as the existing one is working fine, but noticed the new one was not level at the position where it bolts to the engine, the surface is uneven and rolls when placed on a flat surface making me suspicious that it would not seal properly even with a thick gasket. I have asked the supplier if this is a manufacturing defect and has there been other queries regarding it, still waiting for a reply so posting this to find out if it would fit ok or anybody else had issues, do not want to go down the path of refitting only to find out that it leaks.

What supplier? As some are known to sell inferior products.

Hello, one of the regular and reputable VW ones, not an Ebay or second hand seller and I normally have a good service from them.
