clutch judder Subaru conversion

Post by jan »

Hi all, hope your all keeping well in this challenging time. I have had a Subaru conversion done using a 4 speed Vw box. When pulling away there is a fairly serious judder when lifting the clutch, strangely its fine when cold but after a few miles it gets difficult to stop even when being very gentle. Thanks in advance for and ideas you folks may have.

How is the conversion done ? RJES bellhousing, small car bellhousing, adapter plate ?
What's the flywheel and clutch set up, and which engine is fitted ?

turbo pull clutch or N/a push clutch ?
Trubo clutch is usually very digital either on or off and no slipping so ifs there is definately a spigot bearing fitted then I'd be worrying about the gearbox input shaft and or input bearing and or mainshaft bearing and or mainshaft bearing displacement - if box was tired and it's been launched or driven aggressively with the new engine and strong clutch
Which box is fitted ? What's it's history ?
