Hi people
I'm hoping somebody can help, I have a 2.0 CU with standard twin solex carbs that has started running rough. I noticed petrol leaking from what I thought was the carb top gasket so took off the air filter and ran the engine and found the choke flap jumping around a lot when I rev the engine and spitting fuel out the top of the carb!! I thought maybe it was an ignition problem so I have checked the ignition coil (bosch blue type so values of 3.0 ohms and 7.2 kOhms fine), can anyone suggest what to check next please?
Heres a small video of the issue: https://youtu.be/Iobdr-8CtFQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Cheers and stay safe
Tony

Re: 2.0 CU Carb Rough Running
check your valve clearances, check the carbs are balanced, check all the linkages are operating the carbs simultaneously and starting and finishing at the same throttle position

When Corona lockdown permits I will be doing another tuning video with the CU engine I built up last Summer...

Re: 2.0 CU Carb Rough Running
Hello,
Well thank you for that..
I have several videos to make, CU twin carbs to tune, Overhaul of a Pict 34-5, use type 3 (1970) inlet manifolds to fit twin solexes to a CT motor, CT crankcase rebuild, then the 'stroker' project.
So why don't I get on with them....
Because during lockdown, the bus is still in my workshop, with pop top fitting , new gas system for the cooker, and get ready for the VASP test.
So much to do ...so little time...
